Impressionism
Anemone
70 x 70 cm - Mixed technique on panel
Fuchsia pigments insinuating in a golden glow, slowly, like a volcano spilling its burning fluid leaving tragic black paths. Slowly, but unbearably. But there it is, ... I see it. That bright golden light that attracts me, like a colored butterfly, finally exploding in all its beauty.
Old Poppies
1 x 2 m. Diptych. - Mixed technique on panel.
Plays of copper-coloured light, creating and inventing absurd and impossible forms, to transform into bloody flowers, in a time without time. An ancient wisdom, reborn again and again, defying eternity.
The dance of fire
1 x 2 m. Diptych - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf
Enthusiasm, hilarity and passion. Salamanders and goblins playing, as in an unbridled dance, to hide behind magic and mystery, then resurface happily. Gold, pigments and ash mixing with each other like an erotic dance, like a cosmic dance, ... without time.
Royal herons
1 x 1 m. - Mixed technique on panel
Without losing sight of their goal, the grey herons, elegant and sinuous, fly in a V shaped row, supporting each other on the air current created with each flap of their wings. I feel like them, birds of dream and fantasy and like them, with the same goal: to reach the warmth and tranquility of a warm and comfortable land, beyond my desires. But now I know ... It is only possible to move forward by looking far.
Finally Free
1 x 1 m. - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
Centuries. Endless years of exacerbated loneliness, of misunderstood and infinite sadness, tied to some straps that I didn’t know were loose, that I didn’t see and couldn’t untie. Slowly a clear, a slight smile, a dance of colours rising to the sky. A rampant gallop launched without fear towards the horizon. Finally free... and I recognise myself.
Pink roses
1 x 1 m. Mixed technique on panel.
In the hands of dawn I saw the rose. She fled from herself pursued by her own beauty repeated in petals. With a big swing like a butterfly, the rose, already in the air frozen in the light, shuddered. Motionless against the stirring wind, the rose became a tormented tremor. (Meira Delmar)
Tribute to Einstein
90 x 120 m. Diptych - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
Tribute to Albert Einstein. “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, the place where the deepest wisdom resides, our true essence, and the rational mind its faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and forgets the gift.”
Magnolia
1 x 1 m. Mixed technique on panel.
Plays of copper-colored light, creating and inventing absurd and impossible lines, to become the most elegant, fragrant and delicate flower, held by an immense and powerful tree. Challenging eternity.
After the storm
1 x 2 m. Diptych - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
Blue glow announcing the new day after an endless night of storm. (Anonymous)
Sea's Mystery
1 x 1 m - Mixed technique on board and gold leaf
We gaze at the sea, drunk by its vastness, without even realizing that it holds a world to discover. Mysteries and secrets that go from the old lost continents to the Atlantis mythology, that appear an idyllic dream more than a submerged reality. But... what if it was real?
Fluctuating in the dream
1 x 1 m - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf
I surrender myself sweetly, cradled by a warm transparent substance. A few luminescent jellyfish give in without resistance to the smooth current of life, floating in a timeless dimension, almost like the death you surrender to without fear, when you are not afraid of life. And I know I exist.
Through the wind
1 x 1 m - Mixed technique on board
Through the wind I feel Zephyr, playing between my hair with hilarity and sweetness. Messenger of spring; soft and gentle breeze that accompanies my gaze towards the subtle hurdle that bends to its beat. And beyond the sea, distant fields slowly waking up... surrendering to the miracle of life.
Winter's Solstice
100 x 75 m. Diptych - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
It is the winter solstice. The cold and humidity invite seclusion, stillness, surrender to silence and to reflection. I feel a sweet peace, like trees, plants and animals which retreat together, warming each other in a sweet sleep. I’m wrapped in a warm darkness, but I don’t feel fear, I’m waiting, aware that soon golden leaves will sprout, bathed by the sun’s rays and impregnated with new wisdom.
Journey to Itaca
73 x 60 cm. - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
Tribute to Konstantino Kavafis. “When you start your trip to Ithaca, ask that the road be long, full of adventures and experiences...” I enjoy every stage of the road in my emotional journey... inwards. The most important thing, is not changing, but enriching myself with the emotion, whatever it is, that touches my spirit and my body. “... To Lestrigones and Cyclops, don’t fear them; you will never find such things in your way if your thought is elevated, if a sublime emotion seizes your spirit and your body. The Lestrigones and the Cyclops, the fierce Poseidon, you will not find them if you do not carry them in your soul ... ” Itaca gave me such a beautiful trip. Without her I would not have walked this path.
The Challenges
Triptych. 210 x 70cm. Mixed technique on board
I enjoy every stage of the road in my emotional journey, towards myself. The most important thing is not finishing, but reward myself of the emotion, whichever it'd be, that ends in my spirit and body. Not always has been easy, but has been worth it.
Rebirth
1 x 1 m. - Mixed technique on panel and gold leaf.
Eons, endless centuries of darkness, sadness and remoteness. Heartbreaking anguish hidden behind a mask of false illusion and irony. Finally the Light; a sublime and subtle golden rain falls on the dark night that seemed boundless, free of its prison, to finally be reborn.
Music's Silence
1 x 1 m. - Mixed media on panel, copper and cd’s.
Underlining unattainable yet intimate vastness. A dimension without time vibrating like an emotionally unsustainable music because of its sublime higher frequencies. Like a galaxy that pulses, expanding and contracting... that is born and dies. In silence.
Over time
Triptych. 1 x 3 m. Mixed technique on board.
Distant memories and transparent, freezing over time, flashing moments, but already invisible. Anxious and urgent search to keep catching something that has already left existing. And at the end, the rest and calm, the emptiness. The balance and wisdom of whom is everything and nothing.
Autobiography
Triptych. 1 x 3 m. Mixed technique on board.
Golden flashes
90 x 90 cm. Mixed technique on board and gold leaf
A journey through memory
1x1 m. - Mixed technique on panel and rusty iron.
I want to feel the peace and immensity of a distant horizon, to feel the strength and warmth of plowed land, the helplessness and unease of the sea after the storm. I want to let myself be embraced by the majesty of a forest, and to breathe in its wet smell after the rain, ... the nostalgia of rusty iron. I want to dream that I have dreamed.
Through time
1 x 1 m. Mixed technique on board
I want to feel the wonder that a child feels at birth, if he realized that he was really born. I want to let myself cradle sweetly, on that journey through life, getting on every train with innocence and enthusiasm. I glimpse my horizon, whatever it is, without fear, going through a timeless dimension. And I am at peace.
Through fog
90 x 90 cm. - Mixed technique on board and silver leaf
Sunset in Conil
90 x 90 cm. Mixed technique on board and gold leaf
Golden flashes playing among the white foam of the sea calming down in silence to die with calm to darkness.
Laguna argentata
1 x 0,70 m. - Mixed technique on board and rusty iron powder.
Extreme desperation, immense, like a heartrending ice that underlines the drama of a broken heart. Strength, power, and hope, like a seed thrown to the air by a plant before giving up and succumb to a drought.
Freeze
100 x 50 cm. - Mixed technique on board and gold leaf
Easterly wind
90 x 90 cm. - Mixed technique on board
